Can you help raise $100,000 for Bravehearts?

http://www.everydayhero.com.au/health_queen_charity_arm

Watch the above link, as Sam Beau Patrick aims to raise $100,000 for Bravehearts through the sales of her new book “Beauty and the Beast Within”.

That actually equates to 40,000 book sales, so please start spreading the word!

Thanks Bridget xx

sleeping in….arhh

Bridgets  there is something empowering in life about letting yourself sleep in….

Once you establish in your head that lying horizontal for an extra few hours is as important as cleaning, markets, exercise, ironing, cooking and that no one really cares any way, then the rest is easy….

“body and brain are we tired today?” YES - “ok, roll over and drift back to sleep”

See really easy.

day-nitey,

Bridget

Money problems, eating disorders, no sex!

Dear Bridgets

sometimes life closes in.... just like winter. Summer has gone...washed away you could say (it has rained non-stop for 6 weeks) and now finding myself firmly implanted in Autumn.

Do the season s affect us? My oathe they do!

For example, in summer, there is an abundance of space on the credit cards, one has to fast to fit into bikinis , plus there is no way known anyway is going to see my huge rear unless, a mandatory fast has been complete, and romance is a plenty (ok, stretching reality , it's called poetic license).

And now, a season on, one is more tired, fatter, has zip money and can't see any nice boys around any where....sigh....

Hold tight for winter, then get excited for spring, and then giddy up, it will be summer again!

Hope your autumn is FUN, Bridget x

Tighten up Bridget

Well the time has come to some serious budgetting. I haven't really taken a note of where I have been spending things for some time and I think some areas might have blown out. OK, I gather many people have probably done this about 12 months ago, but I am a bit slow.

I am going to start tracking where I am whittling a few $10 things here and there, to try to bring it all back into aline with my current earnings. Continual debt is not enjoyable and I am going to change that in the next 6 months!

OK, scrap book, receipts, off I go...

Can I recommend Sexual (spelt backwards) on the Gold Coast

Bridgets hi ho

I have been wanting to eat (and drink) at Lauxes on the Gold Coast for a few years now. The truth is an old mate frequents there and I don't want to cramp his style with his new girl friend - so I don't go there! Crazy ? Or just good girl etiquette?

So this morning when Maree and Karan from Westpac invited me to a business breakfast to help build other business relations - I jumped at the opportunity.

Set on a pretty little park in the middle of Broadbeach (on what was for years a vacant block) - with parking underneath, an awesome menu and top service.

I will definitely going back!

Thank-you Bridget

Food glorious food

Bridgets
Why does "bad" food taste the best?

I am sorry but an apple just doesn't taste the same as a sticky date pudding! You know it and I know it!

Bridget's 10 BEST Hang-over remedies

Bridgets after years of experimenting, trialling, and going through sheer pain (at time indulgence) this is what I have come to conclude as the best hang-over remedies of all time.... (NB no responsibility or liability will be accepted if they don't work for you)!!

1. Don't over drink. (boring)

2. Drink one glass of water for every glass of alcohol consumed (unless it is a long island iced tea - in which case, drink a jug of water for every drink consumed).

3. Swallow a mouthful of St Mary's thistle before and after drinking

4. Don't mix beverages. (Go hard, or go home)!

5. Don't drink cheaply (my worst hang overs have been with cheap wine, cheap champagne or no-name-beer)

6. Eat before, during and after drinking

7. Don't drink straight after sport events unless you are replacing electrolytes at the same time

8. FREE grog is twice as toxic as purchased grog

9. Don't trust a stranger with your drink while on the dance floor or going to the loo.

10. Take cash with you and never withdraw extra cash when you are out and drunk!

Remember Bridgets , never drink-drive (unless you are too drunk to walk - no I didn't write that), and LIVE IT UP!!!

Love Bridget

Smiling burns up 1 calorie

Bridgets

how is my maths?

Smiling burns up 1 calorie (based on the average smile)

So if I smile 100 times over the day, I can burn up 100 calories.

That is nearly a TIM TAM!

Here's to smiling,
